As the service uses the public telephone network, you must take reasonable steps to protect yourself by ensuring that your conversation is not overheard or that the telephone you are using is not being eavesdropped.

Never write down your password.

Don't tell anybody, including Bank staff, your password.

If you are using a telephone that automatically remembers numbers that you dial or keystrokes that you made, then be sure to delete any confidential information that it may have recorded.

If you are using a mobile phone, make sure that you protect it by following the vendor's security recommendations.

Always hang-up when you have finished using the service.

Don't use someone else's phone, as you won't be in control.

Follow all of the Bank's guidelines regarding your ATM card and the PIN.

Follow any security guidelines published by the industry, your phone supplier and phone service suppliers.
